Ingredients
2 cans refrigerated cinnamon rolls (8-count, with icing)
1 (21 oz) can of apple pie filling
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup melted butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream (optional, for extra gooey texture)
Optional toppings: chopped pecans, caramel sauce, vanilla ice cream, whipped cream
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and spray a 9×13-inch baking dish with nonstick spray.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the apple pie filling, brown sugar, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Stir until the ingredients are well mixed.
Open the cinnamon roll cans and cut each roll into quarters. Add the cinnamon roll pieces to the apple mixture and stir until evenly coated.
Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish. Drizzle the heavy whipping cream over the top if using.
Bake for 45 minutes or until the top is golden and bubbly.
Once baked, drizzle the icing that comes with the cinnamon rolls over the warm dessert.
Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream for added indulgence.
Notes
Make sure to cut the cinnamon rolls into small, even pieces so they puff up and bake evenly.
Feel free to experiment with flavored pie fillings, such as caramel apple or spiced apple, to add a new twist.
For a dairy-free version, use plant-based cinnamon rolls and substitute the heavy cream with coconut cream or almond milk.
If you want to prep it ahead of time, assemble everything the night before, cover it, and refrigerate. Add the heavy cream right before baking.
